Before we start reading or writing, let us pray together for one of dear friend, colleague, family, sibling, or just stranger – another person on earth you might know or might not know.

نَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
Innalillahi wa innalillahi rodziun  – Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return

For we are made from ash, let our flesh turns back to ash – but the soul to God

Rudi Rauf, our beloved friend, TF and MUFT 2009I

Rudi Rauf, our beloved friend, TF and MUFT 2009 with 2009 juniors (may be) at their senior’s graduation

Today, another friend of mine, a junior and someone who is tough enough to endure all his pain, has rest in peace (1 July 2013 about 4AM). He had kidney failure since last semester, but I haven’t ever thought even a bit that he would pass away this soon. Although we don’t meet often, but I know he was a bright person who helped us organizing and being an MC for FPGA workshop along with PW. May be 2009 juniors know him better than me, but I know and believe that he was also an amazing person – like two of his seniors who had gone to Lord’s feet before him.

We had Yuniar Gitta Pratama (FT’07) and William (FT’08) already, and now Rudi Rauf (FT’09)

Is God unfair? No. He might want to tell us all that death and the last call is beyond our expectation – will it be next minute or twenty years later. Our lives are in His hands, and no one shall beg for one if He had said so. Farewell, Rud, we always miss you. And tell your seniors Yuniar and William that we are doing okay here on earth. I refuse to acknowledge this is the “end” for him. This is just a “beautiful beginning”, the “first page of long beautiful story which is known as ‘eternity’ with Lord as the Head and King” – the beginning of a majestic tale. And I won’t weep.
